Soft-Seated Floating Ball Valve

A common valve type, which is characterized by the use of elastic materials (such as PTFE, rubber, etc.) as seals, suitable for medium and low pressure conditions, with good sealing performance and corrosion resistance.
Main features:
Excellent sealing performance: The soft sealing material can fit tightly with the ball to achieve zero leakage.
Corrosion resistance: The soft sealing material has good tolerance to a variety of corrosive media.
Low operating torque: Because the sealing material is soft, the friction is small during operation, and it is easy to open and close.
Wide range of application: Suitable for water, oil, gas and corrosive media.
Easy maintenance: simple structure, easy to disassemble and replace seals.

Product Description

The following is a detailed introduction to the soft-seal Floating Ball valve:
1. Structure and working principle
Ball: The ball is a floating design, relying on the medium pressure to press the ball to the valve seat on the outlet side to form a seal.
Valve seat: Made of soft materials (such as PTFE, rubber, nylon, etc.), it has good elasticity and sealing performance.
Valve stem: Connects the ball and the operating mechanism (such as handle, actuator) to transmit rotational force.
Valve body: The outer shell of the valve, usually made of metal (such as cast iron, stainless steel, carbon steel) or plastic.
Sealing ring: Installed between the valve seat and the valve body to ensure sealing performance.

2. Application field
Chemical industry: Suitable for the control of corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts.
Water treatment: Used in water supply and drainage systems, sewage treatment, etc.
Food and medicine: Suitable for sanitary conditions, such as pure water, beverages, liquid medicine, etc.
Civil field: Used for household water supply, heating systems, etc.
Industrial field: Suitable for the control of low-pressure gas and liquid media.

3. Advantages
Zero leakage: Soft sealing materials can achieve bidirectional sealing with extremely low leakage rate.
Corrosion resistance: Applicable to a variety of corrosive media, extending the service life of the valve.
Easy to operate: Since the sealing material is soft, the operating torque is small and suitable for manual operation.
Low cost: Compared with metal sealing valves, the manufacturing cost of soft sealing floating ball valves is lower.

4. Disadvantages
Temperature limit: The temperature resistance of soft sealing materials is limited, and they are usually suitable for medium and low temperature conditions (generally not exceeding 200℃).
Pressure limit: Applicable to medium and low pressure conditions, the sealing material may fail under high pressure.
Poor wear resistance: Soft sealing materials are easy to wear in media containing solid particles.
